DLNA vs JBOD - sharing multiple directories via DLNA

Please give me suggestions on how to adjust sharing via DLNA (necessary for use on TV). In ZimaOS version 1.5.4 I set up DLNA (developer) but there is only one folder shared.
I have 4 disks in my NAS – separately – I have media files on multiple disks. I want to share multiple directories from multiple disks via DLNA.
Disk settings do not allow me to use JBOD (merge multiple disks).
Is there a difference between ZimaOS Free and ZimaOS+? = e.g. JBOD function

Many thx

Built-in DLNA in ZimaOS can only share one root folder — it cannot publish multiple separate disks directly.

Key points:

  • DLNA (Developer mode) shares one directory only
  • It does not support selecting multiple folders across different disks
  • JBOD is storage-level merging, unrelated to DLNA
  • No difference between ZimaOS Free and ZimaOS+ regarding JBOD

Practical solutions

Option 1 (simple):
Create one unified media folder:

/DATA/Media/
Movies
Series
Music
Kids

Move or mount your disk folders under this path, then point DLNA to:

/DATA/Media

Option 2 (better long-term):
Run a proper media server like Jellyfin or Plex and add each disk as a separate library.

Cleaner, more flexible, and TV-friendly.

If you share your disk layout, we can suggest the cleanest structure.
