Hi folks!
I found this device on AliExpress: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005008147234071.html
It’s a USB type-C Ethernet card that provides both connectivity and also power, and it matches the specification of ZimaBlade: 12V and 3A (not sure about 36W, though).
My question, is if this USB-C port also supports data, so I can use the Ethernet card, or is just to power. IIRC, Raspberry Pi 4/5 has a USB-C port just for power.
I would like to know if I should buy it. It would be a dream to be able to user PoE and get 2.5GbE too.
Let me hear your thoughts.
Thanks!
The USB should work, this is very similar to a small USB dock.
I say should as without testing I don’t know if it will, or how it announce itself to the system and if drivers are needed. It says plug and play but without knowing anting more like the chipset inside its an unknown.

I got the Ethernet card sometime ago, but just today I got a POE switch.
It doesn’t work completely, though. I think the power provided by switch is below what ZimaBlade needs to work when my SATA SSD is connected:
Port 2 is my Home Assistant Yellow. Port 3 is the Ethernet card with POE I got it.
If I remove the SATA SSD I can boot over eMMC. Here is the power consumption after I removed the SSD:
