also I’m not 100% if this is the forum category to post this is, apologies in advance if not.
I would like to request a feature to add custom widgets on the zimaOS home page.
for MY use case, i want to add a diverse group of widgets, example:
-
weather
-
pomodoro integration
-
add quick memos widget and see pinned memos
-
see usage stats
-
quick pihole toggle
-
ai (webui) quick chat box
All these above are different docker containers I have running in zima, and I wanted to have aspects of each in one place and I was thinking to accomplish this, the easiest way would be to allow users to add a widget on the left, that supports custom html/css/javascript OR a widget that requests an endpoint and displays the response, and polls every x seconds.
Included is a screenshot of where this proposed widget type can go. If you would like a mockup in photoshop of this concept, I can provide that easily.
Let me know what you all think about this. Personally, customization flexibility is the only thing I believe is missing from this great OS.
