Connecting external display?

I am trying to use a small external touchscreen display with my Zimaboard 2. The minimal documentation that exists just says to connect an external keyboard/mouse and a display to the miniDP port. I currently have a miniDP >HDMI adapter and HDMI cable connected and USB for the touch controls. When I boot the zimaboard, I only see a black screen with minimal text instructing me on how to find the zimaboard via web browser and instructions on how to enable SSH.

I opened the BIOS and enabled the internal graphics and selected IGFX as the primary display, no change.

Any recommendations on how I can set up the display and touch controls or will I need to abandon ZimaOS for a different OS?

Hi,
As I have experienced ZimaOS doesn’t have a desktop GUI. It’s having only a web UI. CasaOS had minimal desktop GUI. So, what you see when you connect the display is absolutely normal. If necessary you can try installing a desktop GUI (I have not tried). But it will use some amount of CPU and RAM resources for running. Server with a minimal web UI is the best balance between user friendliness and efficiency.

Thanks for the response. Did not realize that the ZimaOS did not have a GUI to display!

ZimaOS is designed to be a home server system, so there is no GUI.
