I cannot copy from W11 PC to ZimaOS USB drives (and I used to be able to IIRC). I get W11 error message “Could not find this item. This is no longer located in C:\Users\UserID\Documents\xyz. Verify the item’s location and try again.” In fact, the file is in the location indicated.
- I can copy from W11 File Manager to the ZimaOS onboard hard/SSD drive
- I’m running on a Dell Wyze 5070
- I can copy between ZimaOS USB drives using the ZimaOS Files app.
- I can copy between ZimaOS USB drives using W11 File Manager
BUT … I cannot copy from W11 PC using File Manager to ZimaOS USB drives
The USB drive is configured as read write and Shared.
Additional … this may of happened after installing Jellyfin. Or it could be unrelated.
I’ve rebooted.
Update: I tried using a 2nd W11 PC and I can copy from that PC to the ZimaOS USB drive. So there’s something funky about this PC and ZimOS combination.
…
I’m not trying to list two problems in one post … but in case this is related …
When I try to remap the ZimaOS USB drive folder, I get the following mesage: "The network folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password.
To connect using a different user name and password, first disconnect any existing mappings to this network share."
That has me baffled as well.
It will let me map it if I uncheck the sign in with other credentials option.
