when i create a backup with my external drive i unplug it and backup now and again but the backup i det up keeps disappearing do i need it connected all the time ?
Hi, previously backed-up files will not disappear just because the external drive is unplugged.
To better understand the issue, could you let us know what kind of backup workflow you are using?
Is this backup from device to external drive, and are you using ZimaOS Backup or PC Client Backup?

Hi there …no i dont mean the files dissapear i kust mean that i hafto set the backup .up again after a few days of unplugging the external drive that is my backup …could be normal behaviour ..but would be bice to plug the external drive in and it backup autimatic with any new files on the server

Just to better understand the behavior: after you plug the external drive back in, what status does the backup task show?
For example, does it appear as failed, paused, missing, or something else?
Also, if you manually click Start, can the backup continue normally, or do you have to create the backup task again from scratch?
