After Upgrade to 1.6.2 I lost about 5GB of storage in the OS storage…Any suggestions??

Alex

After the update, one of my data drives suddenly became unrecognized in the UI, throwing an “Unsupported format” error and asking me to format it, even though the data was perfectly fine.

It seems like the update caused a drive auto-mount failure or messed up the local-storage.db configuration database.

How I fixed it:
If anyone else gets hit by this, DO NOT click format. I managed to fix it and save my data by logging into SSH, switching to root (sudo -i), and forcing a RAUC system rollback to the previous working slot using:
rauc status mark-active other && reboot

After the reboot, the drive was back up and fully accessible. Hope this helps someone!

Thanks for this MsgForce. You helped me out of a bind in 1.6.2, and in waiting, 1.7.0 updates.

I was upgrading from 1.6.1 but for some reason when it rebooted it lost everything and booted up to a fresh make your username and password in both updates(1.6.2 and 1.7.0). In setting up a ‘new’ user all the drives where fluffed.

Thankfully i had access to the laptop and managed to sudo -i in and revert back to 1.6.1 and everything’s ticking over in its proper place again.

I owe you a drink, my heart dropped thinking my Jellyfin, kudo and audio data was shafted.
