Actiavte hdd, .tmp, update

I have install ZimaOS v1.4.0-beta1 and I have 3 questions:

Why when I switch off my server and after I switch on, I need to reactivate my HDD ?

Why when I push a .mp4, the file manager add after .mp4, .tmp ?

And When there is an update, How can I update it without redoing the entire configuration ?

Thanks in advance

The .tmp issue is fixed. And you do not need an entire configuration during updating.

Would you please explain reactivating the HDD after switching on in detail? What is it? Any screenshots will be helpful.

Hello, thank you for your reply, regarding the update, I did not quite understand if in the settings I can update the OS or I have to reinstall it on my hard drive? For the HDD which does not activate from startup I found a solution with a script which launches it with UDDI. And I had another question, I would like to know why when I create a VM it does not launch, it is in infinite loading.
Kind regards

Yes, you can update your OS in the settings instead of re-installing it.

About the VM, you need to mount the installation media. For some OSes like win 11, you need to press keys to trigger the installation process. And after the installation, you might need to shut down the VM and eject the installation media to prevent the coming installation process in the next boot. You can do the ejection in the configuration panel of the VM.

Ok, thanks you a lot

For my virtual machine, u see my probleme.

He don’t work, he load all time

Would you please provide the specs of you machine? The name/version of the OS in VM?

This is information of my machine and i use ZimaOS v1.4.0-beta1
sudo dmidecode -t system | grep -Ei ‘Product Name|Manufacturer’
Manufacturer: LENOVO
Product Name: 3664BT4

The virtualisation is active on Bios
lscpu | grep Virtualization
Virtualization: VT-x

Have you ever installed a Linux OS before?

Yes, i use Linux all time with my laptop.

I mean install linux in ZimaOS zvm.

Oh yes, I’ve already tried but it doesn’t work

And for .mp4 tmp is not fixed, I update nas but no change

I tried to create a virtual machine with virtual manager but I need to enable libvirtd and I can’t enable it.

Did you mean the .tmp issue is not resolved in 1.4.0 beta2?

Would you reproduce it and take a screen record of the whole process for us to resolve your issue?

Here are the videos for the .tmp
I can’t post the videos directly here because I’m a new user. So here’s a Weetransfer link that’s valid for 3 days. In this folder you’ll find two videos related to the .tmp file and one related to the virtual machine.

Hey, PMed you~
