7th Bay Glowing Yellow/Orange

Is anyone else having a problem where the ZimaCube’s 7th bay glows and pulses with an yellow/orange color? Originally, it was always dark after setting up four hard drives in the first four bays. This issue started happening out of nowhere.

Why is this happening and how do I turn it off?

I’m pretty sure my ZimaCube’s 7th bay had always pulsed with that yellow orange color too - it is just bling near as I can tell. Although I never wanted to turn it off as much as change it. Have you seen this?

It’s easy to install and use and I believe it allows you to turn off the LEDs if you don’t want them.

Just a thought.

You can also unplug the LED header. It doesn’t cause any issues.

You can also just install wled, it’s very simple with the web installer:

1 - Remove the bay 7th bay
2 - Connect a usb cable to your pc and the usb header on the bay
3 - Goto https://wled-install.github.io and select “ESP32-C3 (4MB Flash)”
4 - Configure wled after connecting it with your wifi (12 leds etc)

PS i find it very strange security wise to have this ESP chip standard configured as ZimaCube AP with a standard password homecloud.

It doesn’t connect to anything except lights. I suppose someone could hack in and mess with the light pattern on the front panel of bay 7, but that’s it.
