I’m curious if ZimaOS will implement the new 6.18 LTS kernel for broader hardware compatibility in the near-future.
It appears unraid with 6.18 kernel is already in development so it’d be exciting if ZimaOS had the same plan.

At this stage, there hasn’t been any official confirmation that ZimaOS will move to the 6.18 LTS kernel in the near term. ZimaOS generally prioritises stability and broad hardware validation before adopting newer kernels, which is why kernel updates tend to come later than platforms like Unraid.
I believe broader hardware compatibility is an important goal, and I suggest raising this as a formal feature request so the team can factor it into their kernel roadmap once 6.18 matures and proves stable.
At present, the kernel of 6.18 is already in internal testing, but there are still many problems, and we need some time to adjust and test.
