321 backup finds a microsoft account not mine and not on the computer, for onedrive backup no way to change how do I get it to see my account
I suggest looking at how ZimaOS discovers Microsoft accounts for the 321 Backup feature, because I believe this is where the confusion is coming from.
ZimaOS never reads your local Windows accounts. It only checks which cloud accounts the OneDrive service itself has stored inside the browser session or inside the OS’s credential cache. This means the wrong Microsoft account can appear even if it is not your Windows login.
This usually happens in three cases
Someone previously signed into OneDrive in a browser on that machine
A cached credential is still present in the system keychain
A saved cookie from an old login session is being reused
To fix it, I think the cleanest approach is
Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in every browser on that machine
Clear browser cookies for login.live.com and onedrive
Restart the 321 Backup setup and press Sign in again
Sign in with your correct Microsoft account
If you are using the ZimaOS WebUI from a phone or tablet, make sure that device is logged into the correct Microsoft account as well, because 321 Backup uses the browser you are currently using to authenticate.
If none of this fixes it, I suggest opening a private browser window and running the setup again. This forces a clean authentication with no cached account.
That worked with the private browser no idea where other account came from (childrens friends maybe) you are awesome thank you
Glad it worked, pieman.
The private browser trick usually confirms it was just a cached Microsoft login somewhere in the browser history. It only takes one old cookie from a past sign-in to make OneDrive show the wrong account.
If it happens again, clearing cookies for login.live.com will reset it fully, but using a private window is the quickest workaround.
Any time you need help with ZimaOS or backups, just ask.
thank you
