Zimaos settings resets every now and then

Hi team, I want to report a problem.

since updating to ZimaOS 1.4.0, the settings I customize in the operating system are not being saved persistently. I configure the time zone, default search engine, and disk standby settings, but after shutting down and powering the machine back on, these settings are lost.
This doesn’t happen every time — if I simply reboot, the settings are retained, or if the NAS is powered off and back on within a short time, the settings sometimes persist.

Could this issue be related to enabling the following flag?
“Join the Beta experience – Once enabled, you will receive update notifications for both Beta and stable versions.”
I have enabled it, but I haven’t installed any Beta versions.

ZimaOS is installed on a custom-built PC with the following specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Motherboard: X470 chipset
  • GPU: Nvidia Quadro P400
everything is working nice and smooth a part this

thank you very much!!!

For now, we only see one case that happens on a third-party machine. There seems to be no connection between the join-beta switch and the forgetting. We will keep an eye on it. Would you please analyze the specific condition that causes memorization or forgetting the config? Look forward to your feedback.

yes i can now agree, there’se no connection. i tried turning off and the problem reappeared, every setting i customized, gone.
i think it happens when i completly shut down the system, although it doesnt always happen and i always keep the psu plugged in. it never happens when i reboot

it’s no big deal, but i’ve got this system up for a few months and it never occurred before, so i wanted to let you know
