Zimaos Migration is a Disaster!

Hey Guys, I did a migration, 1.2TB total. Source server is a Ugreen with DSM7.2 with raid1 12TB. ZimaOS has one 3TB drive, I was going to use this as my temp home until I can install Zima on Ugreen 2Bay.

BUT to be honest, I dont feel like ZimaOS is a safe place for data at any level, even for receipts. I’m disappointed, its buggy, slow transfer, errors in the UI, cant format. Just not a good experience at all. IF I cannot use ZIMAOS to just store my temp files, how can I use it for much more?

I used the connect to local network storage → Migrate. I let it go over night, only to wake up to all 3TB in use, not sure how or why. The Files UI wont load.

I SSH’d into the server, I did a ls on the 3tb drive, nothing. idk what is using all my space. I get errors from the UI, I cannot delete any folders. I’m very techy person, I have 2 Linux VPS and many Docker Hosts and some Windows servers, but this is beyond me.

Here is LS of the folders. I cannot even format the drive. I’m at a loss.

@777-Spider – Can you have the DEV team reach out? The system doesnt seem stable and I’d like to report bugs / troubleshoot. Thank you.

@gelbuilding – Hi George, Any chance DEV can look at this?
Also, as others have mentioned, I’m also very disappointed with ZimaOS, its honestly half baked and full of bugs. I love your hardware, but at this point, a normal Ubuntu instance with docker is more stable and better than the OS/UI.
