ZimaOS App Improvements

Greetings!

The ZimaOS app is pretty good to check the server stats on phone. However beyond that I don’t see much use. The Ipad app is basically the phone app, there is no full screen functionality and uses only a fraction of the display.

I would like to suggest a few simple improvements that would make the app MUCH more useful.

  1. Make the iPad app full screen, with proper scaling. This would turn the app in to a remote desktop to server which would simply be incredible.
  2. Add ZVM to the app. At the moment only container apps are reachable from the app. Making ZVM reachable from the app would (again) turn the app in to a remote desktop where users can remote controll ALL of their virtual machines.

Thanks a lot for the feedback — this is really helpful.

In the latest iOS app, we currently support photo backup, file browsing, and app management. Are these features not part of your main use cases, or are you mainly looking for remote control / remote desktop capabilities?

Also, iPad support is already in our planning. We agree that the current iPad experience is not ideal, and full-screen layout with better scaling would make a big difference.

Regarding ZVM access from the app, that’s a great suggestion. I’ll share this with our product team for further discussion.
