I automatically shut down the Zima Blade every evening, and it restarts at ten in the morning.
However, approximately every fourth time, it fails to start. I then have to connect a monitor and keyboard, enter the BIOS, set the correct boot order, save the settings, and restart to get it working again.
Is there a trick to ensure that the Zima Blade always starts with the same partition?
For information: I have an nvme and an sata ssd connected via the pci-slot.
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Thanks, Giorgio, that’s great. Today I had to connect monitor and keyboard again to get into the bios for restarting. Could it have something to do with the fact that I migrated parts of the zima-hd to the nvme?
Because this (WD Blue) was the one, that was one the boot position 1 this morning.
Hello, I want to confirm which interface the device will enter if the BIOS startup item is not set? If there is a problem of failure to boot, will the startup items be restored to a fixed order every time? Regarding the current problem, the engineer believes that it is caused by insufficient CMOS battery. The blade uses a standard cr927 button battery. If possible, it is recommended that you try to replace it.
I haven’t figured out if it’s always the same bootorder into which the items are ordered after a failed boot, but I will check that. Insufficient CMOS-battery would be strange, as the device is about a month old but I can check that too.
