Hello everyone,

Zima Client Android v1.6.0 is now available! :tada:

This is a pretty big update. We’ve added a lot of the things we’ve seen Android users asking for — especially around photo backup, security, remote management, and the tablet experience.

What’s New

thanks for the new version.

1.) I don`t like the folder-icons in the new app, looks too goofy. The Icons from the server version looks much better. Also the Icon Size Symbols for grid and listview looks odd to me.

2). the searchbutton usabillity and expirence is not the best.

3). Missing a backupfunction for files (non images)

  1. About the grid and list view icons, what specifically feels a bit strange to you? If possible, could you share a screenshot and mark the part you mean?

  2. Regarding search, what part of the current experience feels inconvenient? What would an ideal search experience look like for you?

  3. For file backup beyond photos, could you tell us a bit more about your use case? What kinds of files on your phone would you like to back up, such as documents, downloads, chat app files, or something else? If there are any apps you think handle this well, we’d also love some references.

Hi, I like that there’s a mobile app. My question is: for those of us who had to change the NAS port to set up Immich, Nginx, etc.—will it still be possible to connect?

Hola me gusta que haya una aplicacion para el movil, lo que yo pregunto que los que hemos tenido que cambiar el puerto del nas para hacer todo lo de immich,ngninx… se podra conectar???

Hi! Normally, the mobile app should still be able to connect even if you’ve changed the NAS ports.

Could you send us a screenshot showing which ports you changed and the configuration page where you changed them? That will help us confirm your setup and make sure everything will work correctly.

First, the client software for mobile devices gets in each version better and more useful than before.
Thank you for that!

  1. The whole more menu feels a little bit off and does not have the character of a view settings; it’s way too large.

  2. I have to touch/klick 2 times before I can type my keywords. It is better to optimize this to 1 time touch/click = type ready status.

  3. Some specific folders that I have on my phone, like my KeePassXC folder with my passwords, or maybe I want to set up a backup synchronization of some cloud folders over my phone because I’m on a trip.
