Windows stored the credentials! Samba Shares are accessible without authentication from Windows?

Hi! I’ve just installed ZimaOS v1.5.0 on an old computer.

On macOS, when I try to connect to a Samba Share from ZimaOS, it asks me to log in.
On Windows however, I have full access to everything without entering a password. Especially considering that ZimaOS has Samba Shares for all drives by default, this is extremely problematic.

Is there any fix for this?

Does your Windows store your account password? You can check it in the Control Panel.

If it’s convenient, please record a usage screen so that we can see your specific usage process to troubleshoot the problem.

Whoops. It appears that I have indeed used and stored this password with this same IP several years ago, way before I used Zima. I just didn’t connected the dots. Thanks!
And sorry for the inconvenience.

P.S.: Anyways, is there any way to disable the Samba Shares for the full Drives, so I only have my own shares in Samba?

OK, thanks for the feedback. We’ll discuss this request.
