When I turn it off, the computer (server) remains on. How can I fix this?
I’m new to Linux and also a home server.

… I’m new to this platform myself so take my advise with a pinch of salt.
Check in BIOS of your server if you have activated WAKE ON LAN and/or POWER ON LAN in the NETWORK tab or similar and relevant setup.
I installed gWakeOnLan on a linux workstation within my LAN and entered SERVER MAC address to boot-up server and it worked for me.
To shutdown the Server I found a POWER OFF icon in the GENERAL cogwheel icon, bottom of list.
It worked.
