Timezone - there's no option to choose Sydney, Australia

I am in Sydney, in the +10 timezone; however, we are also in Summer Daylight Saving time. I can only set to use the Australia/Brisbane time zone, which is 1 hour behind Sydney. Any way to add Sydney to the database, or allow me to set the time manually?

Sydney Time is available.

Thank you for pointing that out.

While Sydney’s timezone is +10, +11 is a little strange for me. What will happen when the DST ends?

Good question. Nothing breaks when DST ends.

Australia/Sydney is a location-based timezone, not a fixed offset. That means ZimaOS follows the official DST rules automatically:

  • During daylight saving > shows UTC+11 (AEDT)
  • After DST ends > switches to UTC+10 (AEST) on its own

You don’t need to change anything manually. The system will adjust the clock at the correct time based on the timezone database.

If you ever want to double-check, you can just look at the offset next to the timezone name in Settings.

All clear. Thank you
