I am in Sydney, in the +10 timezone; however, we are also in Summer Daylight Saving time. I can only set to use the Australia/Brisbane time zone, which is 1 hour behind Sydney. Any way to add Sydney to the database, or allow me to set the time manually?
Thank you for pointing that out.
While Sydney’s timezone is +10, +11 is a little strange for me. What will happen when the DST ends?
Good question. Nothing breaks when DST ends.
Australia/Sydney is a location-based timezone, not a fixed offset. That means ZimaOS follows the official DST rules automatically:
- During daylight saving > shows UTC+11 (AEDT)
- After DST ends > switches to UTC+10 (AEST) on its own
You don’t need to change anything manually. The system will adjust the clock at the correct time based on the timezone database.
If you ever want to double-check, you can just look at the offset next to the timezone name in Settings.
All clear. Thank you ![]()
