As much as I appreciate the work of everyone who is involved with Zima OS
The biggest flaw with the whole operating system is the damn file manager it’s absolutely deplorable
I can’t if I go to search for something I can’t
Is there another file manager I can download to replace this
I’m using Midnight Commander via SSH command line
If someone converts or build or whatever Midnight Commander to docker (with full access to host folders) I would pay for it.
Thanks for the feedback.
Could you share a bit more detail about what specifically feels bad about the file manager?
For example, is it the search, navigation, performance, or something else?
Any specific examples would really help us improve it. Thanks!
Performance - not the best when moving more than one file.
Navigation is a bit cumbersome.
Biggest issue is with moving files - it does not delete source file when I select to move and not to keep source - it is still there!

Don’t forget, it’s a web-browser based file manager - that is by default a limited experience then. I’d use that only as last option in rare occasions. But in general I’d prefer SMB shares for example and use the primary desktop PC (laptop, whatever) and its capabilities to manage files. Then you can use any file manager available on your machine or go terminal with MC for example as someone else mentioned
