Since upgrading to version 1.6.1 my Files app no longer functions. I was wondering if anybody found a working file broswer? I attempted to install from the appstore Filebrowser and Quantum Filebrowser and neither of them function.
A few questions for you.
When you say that the filebrowser no longer functions, what do you mean by this?
- Blank Screen?
- Shows as it should but folders don’t appear and you can’t navigate?
- It crashes when attempting to transfer files?
A bit more detail and maybe even screenshots could help in diagnosing the issue better. If you have an adblocker or have set up an adblock system on your server, it may be possible it can be interfering with file transfer functions through the browser.
This is what happens.
I have since learned that i can in fact copy the address and open it successfully in incognito/private mode on my browser…… not sure why this is the situation just yet…..
i just went thru the settings of my Brave browser and cleared the cache, browsing history, etc and now Files works normally. Turns out this one was my problem/fault.

it wasn’t just your problem as I was facing the same issue. Files worked in incognito more etc.
I’m using NC via terminal so not bothered with Files issues at the end.
