so im like 12 layers deep in what seems to me to be a simple problem. I have a DAS. i want my immich app to save things to the DAS.
open immich settings go to volumes. just lets me add a named volume with no definitions
okay maybe it wants a mount those look like file locations
pastes in several configurations of Host / container
okay maybe i need to access this .yml form the immich forums. no luck.
okay maybe the YAML at the top of settings is the .yml dock itself success.
okay no i need to find the .env doc… No success
okay i can maybe do this from the terminal
finds thing about mount host being the location of your drive and you can find it from your terminal great success.
looks for terminal cant find terminal anywhere in settings
discovers that terminal is also called SSH
Finds SSH. no button no terminal no nothing
looks on forums. infos out of date recommended app from app store doesnt even exist.
Curses the day someone computed ones and zeros. and thought this whole computer thing was a good idea.
So thats where im at. i dont know what halve this stuff is i dont know WHERE any of it is. and i DEFINITELY dont know what the hell im doing.
if someone could even point me in the right direction i would be incredibly greatful. whats a host whys a container, which eldritch god to i need to pray to to access the terminal. and more importantly what incredibly obvious thing have i missed? thanks much love
