Even though my appropriate time zone has been selected in the General Settings (GMT-7), the time is still displayed in the Dashboard as GMT. Even after multiple reboots. Also, when shutting the computer down at a certain time of day, the time of day has to be specified in GMT.
Is this behavior intentional for some reason? It has been my experience that after setting up a local time zone in a device, all subsequent time references that are visible to the user are shown in the local time. Admittedly, this is probably not a very important issue. the behavior was just a little unexpected.
Hmmm. I have experienced the timezone problem multiple times after installing and configuring ZimaOS. I have now installed it four different times due to ongoing persistent problems with a raid array.
The timezone setting has worked the same way after every installation. Set the timezone to GMT-7, and GMT time is still displayed in the Dashboard.
However, while getting some screen shots of my current settings, I tried changing the timezone and then setting it back to GMT-7. After doing this the Dashboard now displays the correct local time. Sigh! I should have tried resetting the timezone before posting about it.
