:laptop: Developer Update: Zima ORM (ZORM) Is Now Open Source

To further empower developers and improve application development efficiency, the IceWhale engineering team has officially open-sourced Zorm on GitHub. ZORM is a lightweight ORM designed for the Go ecosystem, with a strong focus on performance and low resource consumption.

Key features:

  • Lightweight & efficient: A compact core with no redundant dependencies

  • Developer-friendly: Clean, intuitive APIs that significantly reduce database boilerplate code

  • Plug and play: Works out of the box and is easy to integrate into various projects

  • Performance-first: Lower CPU and memory usage than mainstream Go ORM solutions in common scenarios

:package: GitHub: https://github.com/IceWhaleTech/zorm

We warmly welcome community developers to try it out and share feedback. This is another step forward in building the IceWhale developer ecosystem, and we look forward to seeing more community-driven open-source projects in the future.

:puzzle_piece: System Update: RAID-Related Notes

:one: RAID Mounting Issue (Fixed)

We’ve identified an issue affecting some users on ZimaOS v1.5.3, where RAID arrays created before a reboot could not be mounted properly after the system restarted.

:pushpin: Solution

  • Please upgrade to ZimaOS v1.5.4, this issue has been confirmed fixed in this release :white_check_mark:

:two: Restoring RAID Data After Reinstalling the System

If you have reinstalled ZimaOS and would like to preserve and restore your existing RAID data:

  • A manual recovery script is currently available

  • You can contact 777-Spider directly to obtain the script and guidance

  • We plan to add this functionality in upcoming releases, making the process simpler and safer

Thank you for your patience in testing and providing feedback. These issues were identified and resolved thanks to the strong support from the community.
