Hello!
For context, i’m extremely new to this and have no idea what i’m doing.
I got my media server up and running a few days ago, i’m quickly running out of space so i formatted an external SSD from my PC and i’m trying to add it into the system.
My docker with jellyfin, arrstack and the like is all set up on my main drive. The external is still completely empty.
Basically, I want my downloads, movies and shows to be written to the external drive which has more space. I’ve tried searching around but i’ve come up empty-handed on how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have you mapped to the new media location “SSD” in your media player docker container ? So the container is like a vertual application running on its own mini computer. you need to “MAP” a drive out of that container to the host “ZimaBord” computer. Look in the settings for the container. hope this helps…
Then I would just format the drive and and copy the folder in files. But in Jellyfin I had to add the media drive in its settings on the zima desktop. Mine it called 2tbStorage
