File transfer on ZimaOS (N5 AI NAS)

I’ve been testing alot on my N5 AI Nas and have seen some issues with the following:

  1. ZVM isn’t working on shared drive (windows 11). Unable to connect or ping zimaos.
  2. My macos sees the zimaos network but can’t connect to it unless I specify the IP address then it works.
  3. Testing large file transfer from mac to zima share drives is out of wack. Transferring 5gb File on 10gb nic, file transfer hit 8-9gb read/write in black magic but after the second run it drops to like 60-70mbs, ran 5 different times with same results. If I reboot the NAS then it repeats again first run fines, then after that it craps out again.

I don’t know if this is a caching issue but there’s limiting on file transfer speed. I installed TrueNas, Unraid and Proxmox to test and all works fine without any issues on file transfer hitting 9GB transfer. Has anyone seen or experience this same issue as this is acceptable for file transfer.

I can answer point 1.
ZVM to host ZimaOS (and visa versa) doesn’t work. Traffic can’t pass between. I have already raised this problem. I hope they fix it quickly.

Yes, NAT works but I need my VM’s to be in bridge mode which isn’t working.
