My system detects my three hard drives but when I click manage it takes me to storage section but then just says INSERT DISKS. IT does not give me the option to create a storage at all.
Always attach your specs and version of your device and OS.
And don’t forget to post the screenshots.
I’m using a Dell Optiplex Micro 7050 with a Mediasonic Raid 4 Bay 3.5" SATA Hard Drive Enclosure DAS - USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps USB Type C Support 24TB | USB Hub (HFR7-SU31CH). I’m running ZimaOS v1.3.3. All of my disks are detected by ZimaOS. But when I click manage…the window pops up but does not give me the option to mount any drive or create any storage pool. However, when I installed ZimaOS on my P900 Lenovo and installed the hard drives it worked perfectly. Does ZimaOS not allow DAS storage to be used for a Storage pool?
For now, you can not create a storage pool with USB-connected drives.
You said the system guides you to the storage pool creation page, which was triggered by the insertion of a USB. If true, this might be misleading. We will work on this.
Any screen records are helpful.
I cannot give any screen shots as I had to move over to TrueNAS for what I needed BUT I really want to use ZimaOS. Allowing for external NAS’s would be huge!! Please please get on that!!!
