I’m trying out the backup function in zos. I can initiate it fine and choose my local raid for e.g. the source, but I want to select another nas on the network as the destination. It provides the option “zima storage” but only offers me the same filesystem I used for the source. How do I get it to extend its “senses” to see the other device on the same LAN?

These steps might be helpful:

Create a LAN sharing on the first ZimaOS machine;(Choose whichever one)

Mount/connect to the sharing from the first machine on the second ZimaOS machine; (The second machine will act as a controller)

Open the Backup App on the second machine and use the LAN sharing as the source.
Follow above steps and give me your feedback.
The “Zima storage” here refers to ZimaOS itself. The textual guidance here may not be helpful for you, and I’ll report this to the team. Also, your suggestion of “sensing other devices/ZimaOS functions within the LAN” is indeed a good suggestion. I’ll note it as well. Love.
