Community App Store - ZimaAppStore for ZimaOS (& CasaOS)

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

I wanted to share a community app store for ZimaOS and CasaOS maintained by me Harman Singh Hira. It includes a lineup of self-hosted apps like AFFiNE, Cobalt, SearXNG, Ente, Stoat Chat, and GameVault.

Here is how you can easily add it to your system:

:green_circle: How to Add to ZimaOS

  1. Open your ZimaAppStore dashboard.

  2. Go to App Store → click the :gear: Community store icon.

  3. Click the :plus: Icon.

  4. Paste the following URL:

https://ZimaOS.HSinghHira.me/store.json

  1. Click Add, and refresh the App Store page.

Note: If the store doesn’t appear immediately, try refreshing the page or restarting the App Store service, as ZimaOS occasionally caches store sources.

:orange_circle: How to Add to CasaOS

  1. Open your CasaOS dashboard.

  2. Go to the App Store.

  3. Click on + Add Source.

  4. Paste the store archive URL:

https://ZimaOS.HSinghHira.me/latest.zip

  1. Click Add to confirm.

Note: Using latest.zip ensures you always fetch the most recent build without needing to update the URL when new apps are added.

  • AFFiNE: All-in-one workspace combining docs, whiteboards, and database tables.

Can you fix the Cobalt App plz
thank you :folded_hands:

Hey mate, sorry, Cobalt isn’t working for you. I’ll look into it. It was working the last time I installed it. I’m moving house this weekend, so please give me a couple of days to sort it out. Cheers!

Great update! May I add your link to the official documentation? That way, more people will see and use it! Thanks again for your contribution.

Great, it shows up

Two New Apps added:

  • Yuvomi - A self-hosted family planner that replaces a dozen separate subscription apps — tasks, calendar, budget, shopping, meals and more — with one private place that runs on your own server.

  • openGym - A self-hosted gym and body-weight tracker: plan routines, log workouts (supersets and cardio included), and track your weight and progress over time, all stored on your own server.

It seems your instructions for add the store to Zima are the instructions for Casa. I could not add the link with the .json extension to Zima. I used the instructions for Casa and it loaded the app store and added 20 apps but the name does not appear in list. I have tried all suggestions to make it show up but it still does not.

I have no idea, why the link is not working for you. I reset my homelab yesterday and use the exact same link. ZimaSpace also have same links: Community App Stores for ZimaOS: Third-Party App Collections | Zimaspace Docs

Ask staff for help.

Hey you have fixed the error I have as far as I can see the other also has it.
Thanks. Can you pls add Bookorbit I dont get it to work and as far as I know Bigbear accepted my request for Bookorbit and merged it in universal apps but It looks like thats after 2 weeks not added to ZimaOS and I dont know if it get added.

Anyways thanks for you work!

And maybe also that.

I dont get that also not working >.<

BookOrbit is also on my to-do list. I also try to prioritise apps that have a native mobile app available. For example, AFFiNE, as a Notion alternative, and Cloudreve both have mobile apps, so I can connect my self-hosted instance to them. It makes the overall experience much better when there’s a proper native app available.

Bookorbit have an Fan made app.

I have added the BookOrbit in my App Store. Give it a try and see how it works. Make sure to use Custom Install and update IP link to your own. If you gonna use it for Public Domain, then make sure to replace the token with your own generated ones. Generate tokens at: https://randomkeygen.com/
