Cloning OS Boot Drive (M.2)

I currently have a 128gb drive as my Zima boot drive on my intel NUC. I have a spare 256gb drive that I’m not using and would like to use it as the boot drive. I have numerous containers installed on my Zima machine at the moment, all with configs that took a while to fine tune.
I would like to clone my 128gb drive to my spare 256gb drive to utilize the extra space and future proof my machine a bit.
Is it possible for me to clone my 128gb drive to the 256gb using RescueZilla or a similar drive cloning software (it would have to be bootable from live CD).
Will I run into any issues cloning the smaller drive to the larger one and just swapping it out on my NUC? Is there anything I should know going into it? Any best practices in terms of software to use?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Theoretically, a 1:1 copy of the disk is possible. Note, however, that it is important to make sure that there is only one system disk with ZimaOS installed on the machine, boot problems may occur when there are several.

Yes I will certainly uninstall the original 128gb m2. Luckily my NUC only has room for one m2 disk anyway

Do you have any recommendations on software to best help clone the device? Will RescueZilla suffice, or is there a specific software that works best?

I haven’t used RescueZilla, but I read the description of the software and it should work.

But the free disk space after cloning may not change, if you find that the disk space has not changed, you can reply to me, and I will help you expand the partition size at that time.

That would be awesome. It’s a bit late now where I live, but tomorrow I will tackle it and be in contact if I have any problems. Are you on the discord? I much appreciate it!

Yes, you can contact me there, my ID is JerryK
