Unfortunately, this seems to be a limit of ZVM. I suspect the rendering of the VM actually happens on another port, so DDNS or tunnels that open up specific ports are going to fail. I have posted about hits a couple of times to see if anyone else had solutions, but no luck.
I’d like to make better use of ZVM but can’t seem to get remote access working.
I can’t use zerotier or tailscale as my daily access location has a very restrictive network practices (Fortigate effectively blocks all wireguard or similar protocols).
I use cloudflare tunnels to access most of my homelab services such as jellyfin/immich/arr stack, vaultwarden, etc), but haven’t figured out how to get ZVM machines accessible this way.
Has anyone figured out how to access ZVM machines remotely (f…
Running latest Zima 1.3.0-2…
I’ve setup remote access to my Zima instance, via a cloudflare tunnel. Works great, but ZVM virtual machines display. I can open ZVM from dashboard, and click to start a machine, but the display never loads (just shows “…” flashing). The VM does start though - if you log back in direct via local network IP rahter than via tunnel, I can see the VM fine and it is running)
Any ideas?

I don’t think anyone from @Zima has been able to address it yet though.
Please post back here if you do find a solution.
